Carlbrook School believes strongly in providing opportunities for leadership, innovation and empowerment by offering numerous student run committees and positions throughout its campus. As such, a significant amount of funding is dedicated each year to supporting a variety of initiatives requested by and for the students of Carlbrook.

The student government of Carlbrook School is tasked with determining the best allocation of these funds based on the areas around campus they see as most in need. In order to further advance their efforts to support a significant number of requests and ideas, an on-line store was created whereby all proceeds from the sale of merchandise go directly to the government to be spent at their discretion on behalf of the student body of Carlbrook.

Past initiatives supported by the sale of this merchandise have included:

• Sponsoring school-wide trips to local community entertainment, such as movies, sporting events, Staunton River State Park and Smith Mountain Lake
• Purchasing improved equipment for the campus fitness facilities, dorms and student store
• Hosting weekend activities on campus such as concerts, movie screenings and cultural events
• Sponsoring fundraising events for local and national community service organizations
